Today's project

When we were @ World Market on Saturday, I bought a new strainer, because I don't like the wire ones that I've been using.

After buying the new strainer I got right to work making my vegetable hanging baskets.

I used twine to hang the baskets.

I doubled the twine and then folded that in half.  Then I tied a loop @ the top to hand it from.  I originally wanted to braid it, but I don't know how to braid with four strands, so I just knotted it over and over again.

I took the smallest basket and wrapped some new twine around it. (This isn't the same one as before, I saved that for the end).

I had trouble getting the twine to stay on the sides, rather than slide around.  So I wrapped it about 3x...each direction.

So it looked like this at the end.

A little closer view.

Then I knotted it together.  Then I took the middle basket and measured where it would need to go to line up.

I used the same twine that I just used on the small basket.  And I wrapped it just like the 1st basket, only this time I had double, because it was easier to put both strands through the space and wrap.

Then I knotted that one as well.  I then used the same twine strand to connect the big basket at the bottom.  I repeated the these steps for all four sides.  Yes I divided the handles up, so I have two connectors on each handle.

This is what it looked like before I cut off the extra twine, so it's a little hard to see.

Now it's time to attach the 1st twine that you made (The one that will hang it from the ceiling).

I Left about 8 in of twine that I didn't knot together, remember that I had 4 strands, well I took each one and knotted it around each corner of the handles, over the other twine that connects the baskets.

And here is my final product...I'm so proud of it and so happy that it worked!!
