2nd trimester

2nd trimester 14-27 weeks

CRAVINGS ~
Weeks 14-20
1st fried chicken.  I can't seem to get enough fried chicken.  Pizza Ranch has been my favorite place to eat this trimester.
2nd Cottage cheese, milk or any other type of cheese.
3rd Chocolate.  With this trimester being during the Christmas season, I gave in and had some chocolate.  Now it's something I want!
4th Still wanting some things that are salty...but I'm ok if I don't have V8 juice for a long time!

14 weeks: Baby is the size of a lemon!

Vera wanted to be in on the photo as well.

15 weeks: Baby is the size of a navel orange.

16 weeks: Baby is the size of an avocado.

17 weeks: Baby is the size of an onion.
18 weeks: Baby is the size of a sweet potato.
19 weeks: Baby is the size of a mango.

20 weeks: Baby is the size of a banana!
Also, now baby has taste buds and may have a taste after birth for whatever it is I eat.  Hmmm, guess I better not over indulge on the chocolate.

21 weeks: Baby is the size of a pomegranate.

22 weeks: Baby is the size of a papaya!!
This was a fun one to try and explain to the kids at school.
Baby is also starting to have a sleep cycle...luckily for me baby is sleeping all through the night!

23 weeks: Baby is the size of a papaya.

24 weeks: Baby is the size of a cantaloupe.

25 weeks: Baby is the size of an cauliflower.

26 weeks: Baby is the size of a head of lettuce.
Baby is taking breaths, of amniotic fluid, but breaths!
Also eyes are starting to form more and baby now has eyelashes...eyelashes!

Every week I read about how our baby grows more and more and it just makes me remember how amazing, creative, and AWESOME our God is.  To be able to create such a complex wonder inside the womb.  To think of the small details like eyelashes, I'm totally amazed.

27 weeks: Baby is the size of a rutabaga.
