Baby Room...started!!

After cleaning out the junk room last spring, all we really needed to do was get the floor refinished, paint the wall and add baseboards where needed.

Before sanding picture

Here is the after photo.  Unfortunately the stuff didn't all come off, but we decided to paint the floor instead.

Tom & Lynne came to visit this past weekend so that Tom & Matt could work on the room together.
They first had to scrap 1/2 of the baseboards.
With the crazy freezing rain that was expected to come on Sunday, they had to do all their work on Saturday.

Here is what they had & did get done.
1. Scrap baseboards
2. Figure out all the measurements for the new baseboards and corder round.
3. Put on 2 walls of baseboards
4. Prime all baseboards
5. Prime floor
LUNCH
6. Paint baseboards
(While the guys were doing all this Lynne primed and painted all the corder round).
7. Attach the corder round
8. Simultaneously paint the wall and floor.  (Because the floor can't be walked on for over 24 hours.)
Oh and they started at 8:30 and worked straight until 6.
I was truly grateful seeing as I couldn't do anything.

Finished floor!!

New wall color and baseboards! The other 3 walls were already a grey-brown and perfect for the room so we left them.
Next we will do some chevron stripes on the orange wall, can't wait for those!!
