Arya missed her Daddy

For my Des Moines conference, Arya and I were gone from Saturday-Wednesday.  That was the first time that she had been gone from one of us that long.  When we got home Wednesday afternoon, she showed Daddy how much she missed him.  She just loved on him!  She kept rubbing her face on his facial hair, like she had missed it, because that's what she associates with her Daddy.   It was really sweet to see her realize that she was back home with her Daddy!

These are by far my favorite photos of the two of my loves!

Aunt, cousin & more!

While I was in Des Moines for my school conference, my sister watched Arya.  Arya had such a great time hanging out with her aunt Cassie & cousin Nate.

She got to read books

Play with Nate

And learned how to play with a new toy, that aunt Cassie let us borrow.  Nate helped get it all cleaned and ready to go for Arya to use.
Thanks Nate she loves it!!

Grandma even stopped by to see her granddaughter!
It was a great trip to Des Moines!!

Des Moines Trip

Arya and I took our first road trip together to Des Moines, just the 2 of us.  I had a conference, and so took some time to see family & friends with Arya.

Saturday night I we were able to get together with Katie & Xander.  It was great being able to catch up and see how much Xander is growing!!

He had such a fun time playing with Arya, and Arya loved watching  him play!

Sunday we went to my home church in Valley Junction.  We were able to see my cousin Shawn & her son Ben.  Arya got to meet them for the first time, it was really great to be able to see them both!

2nd cousins

Also on Sunday we were able to go see Great Pop-pop.  He was so excited to see her again, and wanted to hold her.  What a precious moment.

Dedication

10.13.13

Sunday October 13, 2013, our daughter Arya R. Hoehamer was dedicated at the New Hope church in Orange City, IA. So many family members supported and prayed for her today, both here, Des Moines and in Springfield!.  We are so blessed to have such a godly family and we look forward to raising Arya in the same godly families we were raised in.

Baby cereal!

October 10, 2013

Tonight we gave Arya baby cereal for the first time.  She was so eager to have some she couldn't wait for it to be opened.

Matt did such a great job feeding her. She wasn't too sure about it at first, she had some funny faces to show us what she thought.  But, after a while she started to get more interested. While at first she didn't know what to do, she soon caught on real quick too.  We fed her 2 helpings, but I think about 2/3 of that ended up on her, the bib, and the bouncy more so than her.  It was a fun experience, for both us and her.  She definitely enjoyed the cereal at the end.  She even grabs the spoon and puts it in her mouth all by herself!!
