The joy of simple things

Today I did a few small projects.  Not anything that I had planned, but decided to do.

I bought some nails and hung up my 3 little baskets on the laundry room wall.  I was really excited to get theses off the table and hung up.

I found this sweet little tray @ a garage sale for only 50cents.  I've been looking for one for a while now to do a message center that I pinned on pinterest.

Love it!  Now we have a message center, for notes and info!

This one is something that I've been wanting to get done for a while, we finally put up the mirror in the guest bedroom!

Silly Cats

Vera has found a new spot...she loves, to be up on this shelf!

She decided recently that instead of getting down, she'd rather go higher and climb up on the top of the wall.

Too brave!

Shadow on the other hand, would rather play in the sink.

Apparently it's the perfect little bed...she'd stayed in there for a while too.

Wedding PHOTOS!!

So awhile back we hung up our big wedding photo finally!  Then I wanted to have different wedding photos hung around it.  I've been looking for photo frames and I needed 8.  I recently found 8 @ the Treasure Chest for only 50 cents each!

They were perfect, with the gold trim! They ended up being a little bigger than I thought, so I just put some craft paper behind the photos to tie in with our wedding colors.

And now we have them all hung up...and the hallway photos are done!! :)

Re-purpose

We found these old screens in our basement and I thought they'd be perfect for the garden.

First I had to wash them off...they had a few cobwebs on them.

Perfect fit...so excited!

Since they are original from the house, we didn't know if they were painted with lead based paint.  So I was told to spray paint them...I choose a sunny yellow.

7 cans of spray paint later we were ready to place them around the garden.  Look at my helpful hubby, digging the trench for me...

and then making sure it's all packed down.

Don't they look AWESOME!!
