Shadow playtime

Shadow playing with her toys. I have all their toys in a BIG tin can. Never fails after I pick them up, one of them knocks over the tin can to get them all back out.

She loves to play with different ball toys. This is the 1st time she's gone after the paper ball.

Below: Shadow is having some water play time herself.

Water Pals

Vera loves it when I fill up the sink with water for her to drink from...yeah she's not spoiled at all!

Shadow decided too, just recently, that she too likes the water in the sink. She was a little more ok with getting right into the water!

I think this may be one of the few times I get them both @ the sink together on video. Then my stomach makes a funny noise in the beginning so they both stop playing, but @ least I got what I did.

Beautiful

Remember that frame that I got for a dollar? Well we added a glass frame and hook for about 6 dollars.

Here is the photo that has been sitting in our attic for almost 2 years now waiting to be hung up. I was so excited when I realized the $1.00 frame would fit perfect!!

This is what I HAD hanging in the hallway before.

My husband hard @ work. He really did A LOT for this simply frame. Who would have thought making your own would take this much work! But I appreciate all that he did for me!

And the final result! Now I just need to get some more photos ordered from the wedding and then get those hung around this one.
That's another project for a future time.

dollar days!!

So here are a few items that I got @ the thrift store in town for a buck, thanks, to Lynne! :)

This massive frame, I bought for the stairway, but turns out it is perfect for our wedding photo that we still need to hang. I will post more on that later.

I ended up getting both of these picture frames for only 75 cents total!
They also are for a project that is in process and I will post when I'm finished.

Finally, I got a belt & a sweater for $1 each. Wearing these to church tomorrow.

T-Shirt necklaces with Lynne

Here we are, modeling our AWESOME T-shirt necklaces! Don't we just look AMAZING! I love up-cycling and I really enjoyed learning how to make them with my mother-in-law!!
These are the two that she made and let me have. Aren't they so cool! She is super talented!
I really am in a yellow & gray phase, so I made 2. Well when mixing colors you end up with enough to make 2, but I made two different ones. This one I added a fun broach that was my grandma's. Also, I like how the wrap looks that you use to tie it off, so I made that bigger to show as well.
For my 2nd one, I tried braiding the pieces together. I think it turned out pretty neat.

And here is a pic of all of them! Thanks Lynne for showing me how to make these!

1st Stitch

This is my 1st stitch that I stitched tonight! This was my 1st time threading a machine since middle school and all by myself. I bought my sewing machine with Christmas money. I already have SO many projects that I want to create with my new machine.
I will be posting my projects as soon as I get them made :)

Nate & Shadow

Nate had a great time chasing the kittens. Shadow was a lot more easy going and let him pet her a few times.

He couldn't get enough of petting Shadow.

A Scott Christmas

We bought Nate a touch and see book. He seemed to like it. Cassie does such a great job at having lots of books around for him to look at, which he loves!

Matt saw this at the Pharmacy in town and wanted to get it for Nate so bad. He really likes to get toys for Nate.

Bryant bought Nate a toy lawnmower. Too fun!

Not sure who bought this for him, but I just love his expression on his face.

This was the last gift that we bought him. I saw it and it reminded me of the one Cassie and I use to have so I had to buy it for him!
He really liked to chase the cats with it :)

Christmas @ Hoehamer's

Tom & Lynne found this sweet pinhole camera for me! Love it so much!!
We got Claire Something borrowed, both the book & the movie. Now I'm interested in getting the book too!
Made this glass bottle, in the kiln. It's called bottle slumping. A gal at the library told me about it and we slumped a few.
Getting a sweater for Christmas from Claire is becoming a Christmas gift tradition. She bought him one 2 years ago and I loved it. So now we are on sweater 3!
Tom really liked the movie we bought him...he watched it twice while we were in Des Moines!
