Christmas Present

This is Vera being a not so good kitty and climbing our Christmas Tree. I guess she thinks she is the christmas present!

I couldn't resist getting in some snap shots before I had to get her out of the tree. Hmm, Christmas card next year?

Gingerbread house

In 2009 Matt had to make a sample gingerbread house for the Hull Library and Candy Factory Gingerbread house competition. After that, I wanted to make that a tradition that we did each year. This is our 3rd year making a gingerbread house!

I really love decorating the gingerbread house!

This year we had a little trouble with Shadow, she loves sugar and tried multiple times to eat the gingerbread house.

1st Christmas Tree in new house!!

Matt's mom gives us an ornament every year. Right now our tree looks a little bare, but just give us a few more years!

Vera has already claimed under the tree as her spot. We have even caught her climbing it a couple of times! Shadow on the other hand, just likes to gnaw at the branches.

2nd addition

So a friend from work had a kitten that needed a home. We decided that we would try it out and see how things would go with Vera. The following are some videos of the few beginning days. We got her on Tuesday, November 15. At first we just let them be face to face, but that resulted in A LOT of hissing and growling from Vera so we completely separated them until Friday.

Bathroom remodel

This remodel was done shortly after we bought the house. Like I said before I've been terrible with keeping up on blogging. This was done about March-June.

I wish I had a better before photo, I just took bits and pieces. Here you can get an idea of what lovely flooring we had.

You can see what the problem was, the pipe that had cracked. It did last almost 100 years!

I was sad that I couldn't keep this beautiful soaker tub! But the one we got to replace it, is just as nice.

And these are the after pictures. Aren't they beautiful. Doesn't this bathroom just make you feel cheery!

1st House

So I had posted something about our new house awhile ago, but didn't do anything with it. We bought our 1st house this past April. And this is it! I should take a picture of it during the summer, it's a lot nicer. We done some re-molding, when I have time I'll have to post those pics as well. If I stay up to date then that means sometime next spring! :)

White Christmas!

We had the awesome opportunity to see White Christmas as a musical. We went with our good friends Wes and Bekah last Friday night at the Washington Pavilion. It was such a fantastic musical.

This is when we went to the washington Pavilion to see the Andy Warhol Exhibition. It was AMAZING!!

My love

This little kitten has taken my heart. She is so energetic she keeps us entertained :)

New Addition

This is our new addition to the family. It's been awhile since I've been on my blog, but this is Vera. We got her in July. She is 5 months now...this photo was taken her first night with us.
